Botox® is a commonly used, simple and safe, non-surgical injection treatment. It blocks impulses from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that can cause wrinkles.

Botox® specifically relaxes targeted muscles so they do not contract. The overlying skin in the treated area remains smooth and unwrinkled and the untreated facial muscles contract normally allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected.

Uses

In practice, Botox® can be used to improve facial appearance in many areas, such as:

Treatment

Using a fine needle, a very small amount of Botox® is injected into several locations on the face. Most patients compare the sensation to a tiny bug bite. No sedation or local anesthetic is required and you can resume normal activities immediately.
